Rahul Gandhi should sack his speech writer for writing the following lines in his speech that he delivered yesterday in Allahabad.
“Poverty is just a state of mind. It does not mean the scarcity of food, money or material things. If one possesses self-confidence, then one can overcome poverty.”
No one in their right “state of mind” would believe Rahul baba can come up with such a master piece, one because he doesn’t know or understand what poverty is and two you can never relate to him talking something that has anything to do with “mind”.
So if Poverty is not does not mean the scarcity of food, money or material things, what does it mean? Oh yea I forgot, it is a state of mind, so don’t wonder when next time the CWC meets, Rahul Baba will announce creation of a new state called Poverty and hopefully self-confidence could be capital for 10 years so that the state can prosper. Poverty will prosper.
With the same self-confidence and not with food, money or material things Rahul baba is trying to woo the voters and only time will tell the results.
Rahul Gandhi also said this in Allahabad yesterday, “I understand the weaknesses of our system. I will try my best to help the people but unless and until the voice of the marginalized comes out from within, nothing can be done.”
Self-confidence doesn’t come with empty stomach. Empty vessels make most noise not empty stomachs. So Rahul Baba it would be near impossible to hear the voice coming from within.
Rahul baba also interacted with people from remote villages of Allahabad and other neighboring districts. He assured them “my one and only political aim is that I want to tune my ears to the voice of the poor and the marginalized”. Your one and only political aim is to tune your ears? What are you a radio station or a TV channel? Poor & marginalized do not have an operating frequency where their voice could be aired.
I guess the only part from his speech that made some sense was that “nothing can be done.”
“Criticism is just a state of mind. It does not mean lack of respect, scathing attack or abuse. If one possesses self-confidence, then one can overcome criticism.”
